OUR STORY
A MINISTRY AND A CALLING
By Randy Wolff

If you love golf and Jesus, this ministry is a calling for you.

How do you tell others the Good News of Jesus Christ? How is your faith strengthened by interacting with others of the same belief? Might it be possible that the Links ministry of linking golfers around the world in Christ is something that appeals to you?

In Matthew 14, the disciples saw all the hungry people and explained to Jesus, "There is no way we can feed all these people. Please, tell them to go home and get some groceries for themselves. And, by the way, we are hungry also" (my translation).

But Jesus replied, "That isn't necessary--you feed them!'' (Matthew 14:16, Living Bible)

And He still says that today. The lesson for all of is this: We all have but five loaves and two fish, and that is more than enough when it is in His hands. Jesus took what they had (five loaves and two fish), asked God's blessing on the meal, and then handed this to the disciples and said, "Now, you feed them."

Every successful Links leader of a Fellowship has what you have--a desire to place what they have in His hands and ask God to bless it.

Just ask Remo Tucciarelli, who is pictured above feeding his hungry troops. He started a new Links Fellowship outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Their first outing in June was a glorious day as nine men gathered to play. Remo wanted more but was reminded that when "two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst." Matthew 18:20 (NAS). It's not about numbers or even what we do. It is about why we do it.

Remo taught about the great mulligan we have all received in life so everyone received one on the course. He was reunited with a brother he had not seen in years and another friend who had a stroke a year ago and was still going through depression. This friend happened to shoot the lowest score and, more importantly, he was a blessing to all who played.

Remo was just doing what the Links slogan states: "Linking golfers around the world in Christ." And I think I know why he was doing it.

If you have questions, please ask what we can do to help your calling become a reality and a ministry. No cost. No dues. And the rewards are eternal.

And you have is what you need: five loaves and two fish. In His hands, it is a gourmet meal for many. Start sharing today as Remo did in Cleveland. It is so worth it.
